Dewa Athena

Dewa Athena is one of the annual event that held by SMAN 3 Bandung. It is like a sport festival in other school. This event is managed by student council. Each class must pick some students to participate in various competition such as soccer, basketball, badminton, etc. And if they did not obey the rules, you must pay some amount of money. Also, each class must have a jersey to differs them with other class.

This event of course is so important because we can strengthen our bond with classmates, learn to become discipline, competitive, on time, accept defeat, and much more.

Dewa Athena for 10th grader held at March 25, April 1 and for the final with 11th grader at April 8.

At March 25, I with some of my friends cant attend Dewa Athena because we have angklung evaluation for our upcoming concert. The evaluation starts since morning until very late so we cant attend Dewa Athena at all.

Fortunately, we can attend the next week Dewa Athena, even only just a moment because we have another angklung practice that day. But its okay, i already participate at dodge ball.

I think an event like this Dewa Athena is very necessary at school because we can strengthen our bonds with friends and learn many things.

There are so many definition about nature right? Those are how much nature means for us.
What is nature? What does nature mean to me? How much nature means to me? Nature means so much for me, for us, also for every living things in this universe. In my opinion, nature is my teacher, home, inspiration, mirror, and friend. As a teacher, nature teach us about life. As a home, nature is our place to go back, the place where make us feel comfortable, our palace. As an inspiration, nature inspires us. Nature can As a mirror. Whatever we did to nature, nature will give it back to us. As a friend, nature is a friend that accompany us wherever and whenever we go.

Just like I said before, nature means so much, not only for human but also for all the living things in this universe. Nature is the one who gives us the most important things in our live, oxygen and water. Oxygen (O2) comes from the fusion reaction from our one and only star, sun. At first, after the sun was formed, there was only Hydrogen atom there. Then, the nuclear fusion was occurred and the Helium atom was formed. The nuclear fusion was happen repeatedly and the oxygen and other atoms we know on chemistry were formed. And then, the fusion reaction cause some explosion and then the atoms spread to the earth. It is true that we are born from the stardust. All of the existence in earth or even on the universe came from its stars on each system. The life in earth exist thanks to our star, sun. Our sun is supporting all of the life in this solar system. Can you imagine the life without oxygen? Thanks to nature that we can life comfortably now.
Enough talking about the complicated thingy, we can also see how much nature means to us on things we almost see everyday. Such as pollination of crops. Pollination of crops sometimes did by insects, wind, or even human. It is amazing right when nature is designed the pollination of a plant did by wind. Or even by insects, the insects get food and the plants also get to pollinate.
And the last one is what I think that this is the most amazing thing nature did to us, break down wastes. The living things are already live in this beautiful earth for billions years. Can not you imagine how many wastes there? How tall the piles of billions years wastes we see? When human was not formed yet, how the dinosaurs and the low class creatures throw the wastes? Thanks to our precious and amazing nature, it break down wastes for us.
We must thanks to our nature, things we must do to thanks to our nature :
1.       Do not litter
2.       Grow local plants
3.       Use public transportation
4.       Save water
5.       Save electricity
And we must not do :
1.       Waste water
2.       Litter
3.       Waste electricity
4.       Exploit nature too much
And of course, learning from nature have some benefits :
1.       Sharpen our sense
2.       Stimulates our imagination
3.       Releases worry and stress
4.       Sources of inspiration

That is all of my explanation of learning from nature, I hope we can preserve and show gratitude to nature more so our children and grandchildren in the next generations still can enjoy nature and there will no disasters happen again in this world. The conclusion is, we must save nature for a better future!

She is also the one who raised me till i become the person i am now, along with my father. She was giving up her career when i was born for the sake of raising me herself. I was born premature and was hospitalized for 1 month after i born and she came to the hospital each day only to gave her breast milk to me.

When i was 6 or 7, my father worked in another city and i am an only child so my mother is the only one there for me.

My Holiday

My last holiday was really an unproductive one. I almost do nothing during this holiday, unless the angklung practice and stargazing camping. Even though, I enjoyed my holiday a lot because finally, I got some days to rest from school routine (and we hardly get any day off on SMAN 3). My holiday started with stargazing camping. That was one of the reasons why I did not go to term report day, I was busy packing things for the camping and the other is I was too lazy to get up early on holiday.

I went to school around 2 pm. When I got there, there was only one of my friend sitting near my other friends' ridiculously big backpack. I wonder what thing they brought even though we only camping for one night. Not long after that, they came back and brought many snacks. At around 4 pm we finally went to the camping location.

We enjoyed our time there. We got to see some beautiful star constellations. We saw Orion, Sirius, Gemini, Betelgeuse and much more. We also roasted corns, even some of it were burnt. In the morning, I and my friend walked around, intended to find a river nearby. But on the way back to the tent, we met our seniors and they suggested to search for the river again and we walk further and further away until we reached a garden. Not wasting this moment, we took some photos. We also asked for help to the gardener passing by. We went back to school around 9 am.

I also spent my time with my best friends. We went to Trans Studio Mall on December 27. I went there with Afina, Angie, Giafani, and Fida. We went to Starbucks, Sour Sally, Auntie Anne's Pretzel, and did some window shopping. Even though it was a holiday, we also bought textbooks.

In the next day, we visited Fida's house in Baros, Cimahi. Before that, we went to Starbucks to get some discount. After that, we went to a cafe where my parents are, then went to Fida's house. We watched some movies like Finding Dory and How to Train Your Dragon and then went home because Fida had to meet her friends. Before we went to our home, we ate "Mie Ayam".

Originally, we planned to hang out once again but it was canceled because only two of us that were interested. On January 1, I went to Jakarta to visit my aunt with my father, mother, and grandmother. After that, we went to BSD to visit my cousins. Unfortunately, they were not home. It was our fault though for not calling them beforehand. We thought it was such a waste to come to Jakarta in the early morning and then back to Bandung again in the noon so we decided to go Puncak. Unfortunately, it was so jammed and we trapped in the traffic jam until night and we got home at 00.10 am.

On January 5, I had angklung practice at school. It had been a long time since I last played angklung so I felt so stiff. We had the practice every day until January 7. The next day, I prepared things I need and my mental to go to school on Monday.
